About Luke Draily Construction Company
When Bob Becker founded Luke Draily Construction Co. in 1997, he based his business approach on the values he learned from his parents who grew up in the World War II era. “We believe that trust, integrity and flexibility are imperative to doing business, that people should treat others as they want to be treated, and that our word should stand for something: The Truth,” says Becker.
Now celebrating our 20th year in business, Luke Draily Construction still operates under those core values, while positioning itself at the forefront of the commercial construction landscape. The firm manages all types of commercial construction projects including multi family projects, retail and retail lifestyle centers, medical and professional office buildings, movie theaters, grocery stores, home improvement stores, industrial facilities, restaurants and hotels. Key projects include Senior Living Centers for Tutera Group, Launch Living mixed use projects, Whole Foods Markets, Palazzo 16 Theatres, Sutherlands, Parkville Commons Retail Center, Parkville City Hall, Nick and Jakes, Family Leisure, Walgreen’s, Marriott TownePlace Suites, and Livestock Marketing Association’s corporate headquarters.
Named one of the “Hot 100” fastest growing entrepreneurial businesses in America by Entrepreneur magazine and Dun & Bradstreet, Luke Draily Construction has managed projects in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Illinois, Rhode Island, Arizona, Minnesota, and Colorado. The company expanded its services to include expert design build services. Luke Draily hired its own architect to round out its stable of project managers, superintendents and estimators to offer “one-stop-shop” or single-source delivery to developers and tenants.
Luke Draily becomes involved at the inception of the commercial project, working with its own architect or the client’s architect, to ensure the design fits the construction and budget requirements. “Often, builders are called to the table late in the design process, and the client is stuck with a design that requires multiple change orders, exceeds their budget, or takes too long to build,” says Becker. “We are involved from the beginning to ensure the design is feasible and to prevent the client, the architect and the builder from spinning needless cycles that cost everyone time and money.” The firm has experienced explosive growth over the last decade due largely to repeat business. Their clients list the firms adherence to old world values as a significant factor. Luke Draily began its first project for Dickinson Theaters in 1997, and the construction company has now completed more than 130 screens on Dickinson’s behalf. “We rely on Bob Becker, and Luke Draily Construction because of the trust they’ve built with us over the years,” said John Hartley, President of Dickinson Theaters. “When Luke Draily gives us a commitment, we know the project will be completed on time and on budget. We know the end product will be of the high quality we and our customers expect, and within a price range and timeframe that allows our own business to grow and prosper.”
